News Arhive: U2 Kicks Off Vertigo Tour In San Diego |
Legendary rock ‘n’ roller’s U2, kicked off their much anticipated Vertigo Tour Monday night at the San Diego Sports Arena. The band's set featured numbers from their latest release, How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb and a number of old favourites. U2 opened the 115-minute show with the new tune "City Of Blinding Lights", and closed with "40" from the 1983 album War. In terms of new material, U2 played the smash hit "Vertigo," "Sometimes You Can’t Make It On Your Own," "Love And Peace Or Else," "All Because Of You" and "Yahweh" featuring drummer Larry Mullen Jr. on keys. Some of the songs played in the tour opener haven't been featured in U2's live shows for years.
